Dynasty Log - NCAA 06: Season 1 Game 1 Washington vs Idaho
In the opening game of my new dynasty, the Washington Huskies battled the Idaho Vandals from the WAC. The 0-1 Vandals took an early 3-0 lead and their defense held the Huskies to practically no offense for the majority of the 1st quarter.
That changed when Sidney Jones picked off Idaho QB Matt Linehan and ran it back for 6. A drive later, Jake Browning scrambled out of the pocket and threw to an open Jaydon Mickens for a huge catch and run touchdown reception to take the Husky lead to 14-3.
Linehan threw yet another pick six to Husky corner Kevin King later in the 2nd quarter. Idaho came storming back though, but were held short in the red zone at the UW 2 yard line on 3 plays and settled for a field goal, narrowing the margin to 21-6.
Idaho kicked another field goal in the 3rd however, the Huskies marched down the field again in the 2nd half and took a commanding 24-9 lead. A few defensive stops later, and the Huskies running down the throat of the Vandals, gave the Huskies a good solid performance to start the new season off.
