Dynasty Log: S1G3 Washington vs Oregon

In a tightly contested battle between the Oregon Ducks and the Washington Huskies, the hosts Ducks pulled out a 28-19 victory over the visiting Huskies in the long standing rivalry.

The Huskies looked like they had a shot to break their losing streak against the Ducks following an early 7-0 lead after a Jaydon Mickens catch for the opening Touchdown.

The Ducks followed up with a TD drive of their own in the first on a 65 yard catch by Marshall.

Later in the first quarter, the wind took hold of Cameron Van Winkle's field goal attempt and had it sailing right. But a great interception by Kevin King following a tip by Brian Clay gave the Huskies the ball in Oregon territory.

Jake Browning took to the skies again, with a strike to TE Ajamu and then on a 3rd and long pass to find Dante Pettis open in the end zone giving the Huskies a 13-7 lead at the end of the 1st following a missed PAT after a false start penalty.

Royce Freeman drove the ball on the ground in the next drive scoring from 10 out and the Ducks taking the lead 14-13 at the start of the 2nd.

Later in the 2nd, Vernon Adams hit Marshall again on a play action strike to the end zone giving Oregon a big 21-13 lead to close out of the half.

Van Winkle again missed a FG to start the 2nd half as it pulled left on him. Oregon took advantage and drove the ball down field again behind Royce Freeman, who later scored on a huge running attack.

The Huskies had a little left in the tank however. On a 4th and 10 desperation attempt late in the 4th, Browning found John Ross in the end zone after he had dropped one there just a play before. The Huskies however missed the 2 point conversion and ended up losing 28-19 against the rival Ducks.
